Crazy Idea running through my head....

They did - and never did get the gauges, SRS, ...etc working together. Being a race car - they didn't care.

The gauges could probably be done if your a wiring guru and had the schematics. You would definately have to use a GEM from a Mustang and figure out what controls go to where in the LS insturment panel. The message center would definately be a wash as well as the electronic heat controls.

Maybe you could make it work with an upper-end F150 GEM and PCM. IIRC some of them had the same features as the LS like the message center, memory seats, electronic HVAC, etc. IDK, just thinking out loud.

yep - the easiest path i beleive would be to use one of the other newer Fords (F150, Mustang) and cobble it together from there...

the REM / FPDM would still be a swap... and therefore maybe the PCM.

awesome...i wish i had the cash to build a 6spd 4.6L LS...it almost sounds do-able...but i know its ssooo far away...i'm willing to bet that the LS will get recognized in some short years if we all get on the ball and start putting them out there...its so much of an under appreciated platform...doesnt take anything but some good taste to make a very nice modded ride out of it...

Pipe-dream to have anything more than an LS shell with stang wiring and drivetrain.
