Just wanted to make sure everything was done right when I put the car back together.

1. Since I deleted the egr and everything, it still has it's vacuum line, so I put a cap over the end of it, it is the green line I believe correct? So, is that A ok? Oh, and I averaged 28-30 mpg yesterday! :D

2. Does the mark usually hiss? Seem to here a hiss when it is running, not sure if there is a vacuum leak somewhere, but it idles fine.

3. It used to, but usually doesn't anymore, on cold starts up, rev high to about 1300, then down to about 500-700 quickly and idles rough and dies. Crank her back up a second time, and everything is fine. Any guess what it could be?

4. On the fuel rail, the vacuum line, I took the hose off and I could barely feel it sucking in air? Is it supposed to be weak?

1 plug line good
2hard to tell you might be hearing intake noise?
3 IAC
4 should feel normal vacuum there.

Yea, I think it's intake noise, because I know with the tb tube off, son bish is loud. IAC? Nooooo, I just put a new one on lol, then again some new parts aren't any good! Nope it's not normal, very slight!

Just hook vacuum gauge right to the FPR nipple to get reading. What stock vacuume for mk8 16 inches? Have you messed with your MAF? That can effect startup. Also vacuum leak.

When I get a vacuum gauge, I sure will do so. What do you mean "What stock vacuume for mk8 16 inches?" I Just disconnected the intake tube from it and took out the filter from the intake box, that's about it. Hope nothing is wrong with it. Hmm, what's the little black cap on the back IAC? Always made me wonder and it's bugging me. Should it be left on, or taken off?

All engines produce vacuum but they all produce a different amount of idle manifold vacuum. All mk8 4.6's should produce the same vacuum reading (#) If you know a good reading of vacuum on our engines should be 16 inches of vacuum and you see 12 on your engine you know something is not right. The black cap is to shied an open port.

Alright I gotcha. Thought you were asking me for a second, that's why I was like . Hmm, where can I get a good cheap one? All the part stores want like 40-50 bucks for one it seems. How about this one?
