I know theres been so many wheel threads lately but the threads I found through the search didnt really answer all of my questions.
I am ordering some new wheels in the next couple of days and I found a set that is 18"x7.5" with 40mm Offset. Is that going to be an issue at all with the LS?
Also, I plan on buying a set of 245/40/18 tires from an LvC member and from what I read, running 245s with 7.5"-wide wheels is okay, but anyone with this setup have feedback? Is the wheel/fender gap very noticeable?
Thanks to all in advance.

im not an expert, but you should not have a problem....
feel free to chime in people! just get a few opinions before you pull out your cash!
dont just trust mine! lol!

Now is any one up to making that dedicated thread about wheel and tire fitment i was talking about a while ago??

the only problem is, if we did that there would only be 1-2 posts a day in the LS forum:D :D

A few more questions since I have never purchased aftermarket wheels:
Do I need to purchase hub centric rings? If so, what size?
Sorry for all the noob questions :( .

you probably do need them, but I don't remember the LS's size, you also want to see what size is the hub in the wheels. Ask the seller, they should provide you with em if they are not hub centric for an LS.

If no, you can always buy them from ebay or from some rim shop.

Most reputable after market wheel companies will include hub centric rings with their wheels. Hub centric rings create a larger market for any specific after market rim style. Should be part of the deal for any rims. Example: Click on any rim for the LS at the Tire Rack.com and it will tell you what fitment aids come with that specific wheel.

Fitment: Factory width: 7.5 Offset: 60mm
New rim 7.5 Offset: 40mm
You will gain 20mm more inner clearance
Wheel will extend an extra 20mm outward
