Mine always used to come on if I sat at a light for more than 15 seconds(Hot or cold out). I'll assume it was on "high" since my charging system would just about take a sht when it turned on. The last week or so i've noticed that it hasn't been doing it at all.

The fan turns on with the a/c, so thats working. Not sure if it's supposed to be on high or low at that setting.

Coolant is full and the temp gauge has always been @ "normal", i've never had any cooling issues. I will add as some of you may already know that my radiator has been leaking a little more than normal since the colder weather hit. But it's been leaking for some time, it's nothing new just a smidgen worse than last winter.

Though my recent big 3 has greatly improved the cooling fan electrical "strain" at idle when it turns on (before it stopped), i'm concerned as to why its not being "strained" anymore. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE that it's not doing it, I just want to make sure nothings out of the norm.

Did you change you HVAC habits? Besides "vent", the AC compressors operates in all other modes. Including automatic - even if you have it set on the warm side. Its to dehumidify they air.

I am guessing not, but just a thought.

Vent only. Unless of course I need to use something else, but it always goes back to vent.

mine runs a lot. in my case, its related to my tune though..

No tune here.

From what i've gathered the fan will be on low as long as its under 47mph~. So this would mean that mine was indeed turning on high while sitting at a stoplight for a short period of time. Any reason for this if engine temp is normal? (On the gauge at least)

If you had a gen one, I would say there was an air pocket in the coolant. But the Gen II uses one sensor for gauge and actual reading for the computer.

My thoughts would be a faulty connector at the fan (corrosion) or that dreadful relay box thing at the radiator.

I remember I had this issue after the new engine install. But I do not recall why.
