I just took the Mark VIII for a nice 1900 mile trip this week. The car did exceptionally well on the highway. Despite the slight leak in the IMRC, the car managed about 26 mpg on the highway this week at speed never dropping below 65. (though the computer told me 29) It didn't burn an ounce of oil despite having 210k miles on it.

And on the highway, the temperature stayed between the L-A range.

But once I hit the first stop light, my temperature climbed up past the middle, or the "M".

I'm not sure why, the radiator, fan motor, hoses, thermostat, water pump, are all still new. I just replaced the VCRM last week.

Any suggestions as to where I should start looking for a problem. It's possible I have an air bubble because I hastily had to add anti-freeze to the coolant ratio before making the drive up North fearing a freeze. But if they are there, they weren't evident on the highway.
