Car is sensor lowered. I replaced the comp with a used unit that acts very funny. Pretty much i'll turn the car on and the comp will start but will not raise the front. during its cycle it will try to pump up the front bags and instantly it will "let the air go" raising the front end only to the highest level. Happens in a instant. Also since i replaced it ounce in a while the front right stut "loses" air while i'm driving.

So is it a stuck valve of some sort?

more than likely it's a binding strut, once the compressor builds enough pressure to overcome the binding the front raises abrubtly..that's a definate sign of a binding/broken strut.

Not worth fooling with a used unit when Eddie has rebuilds for a reasonable price and have a warraunte.

It sounds like there maybe 2 problems. The strut leaking down sounds like it has a leak and needs replacing. As far as the other problem, it does make sense about the strut binding. Does the car ride really rough?

Heh, that's how my friend's Mark VIII airs up. The back end will drop, the noisey compressor comes on, and about a minute later the back end just pops up at once.

I had a binding strut when i first got the car and replaced it with arnott all the way around. Rode like sh!t. The car rides fine compared to when i first got it. Normal i'd say.
