I have the chrome exterior door pillars and am getting kinda tired of the look. Has anyone colormatched it to the color of there car before and how did it look? I searched but couldnt find anyone but could have sworn there was an ivory colored LS that had done it before. i have the charcoal grey color and am thinking of doin it but want to hear some of your opinions. Thanks!

i've seen it and i liked it. Most of the ivory parchment LS' have it done.. i would love to see a green one or a red one with color matched pillars..

i think ima do it...my chrome pillars got that worn out swirl thing going on and am really hating it when i look up close.

I was thinking about doing the same on my car. I think it looks pretty good. Especially when combined with tinted windows.

Then you need to paint the rear one also. Not doing that makes it look unfinished.

This is what i was thinking about for my first mod. I have the ivory parchment color. but i've read it's quite a bit more difficult to match this color. I've never done paint work before... Should i try it? Or just go with the stainless pillar covers?

I think it looks OK. It certainly wouldn't be a deal breaker if I was looking at a car. If mine were color matched, I doubt I'd black them.

But I personally like the pillars black with tinted windows. It kind of makes all the side glass a single unit.

My .02 cents.

I have ivory parchment pearl and its near impossible to match colors for this car. I've tried matching color, I've had it profesionally done and both are noticeably different than the original body color.

your best bet would be to buy the pillars from ls koncepts or ebay and then paint those instead of doing the stock ones.

Those crazy Arabs already thought of that.
Except they decided they didn't like the pillars chrome anymore, just the car, and painted them black again.
