what is rarest exterior color on a 97 mark 8 i saw one today it looked pewter , i have never seen that color before.Is this a rare color ?

I dont have production numbers, but pewter or dark blue i bet.
 
The grey and the blue seem to be the most rare on Gen2s followed by the greens. Not including the gold Spring Feature cars. At least by the cars I've seen.
 
I was so :q:q:q:qing sad to see that 98 LSC in Dark Metalic Grey with another car on top of it getting parted out... that is such a nice damn car to get destroyed!!

the guy wants $4000 for it . the interior isnt that nice and it has 122,000 on it .
 
My Pewter Grey 97 Base

Here's my 97 Base Pewter Grey/Light Graphite. I love this color! I think it is quite rare. I had only seen three for sale across the country last year before I bought mine, one in Georgia (beautiful), one in Indiana (low miles but some rust), and mine in So. Cal. (no rust and mechanically very sound). Brad Storey previously posted some photos of mine in early January while the Bullitt wheels were being installed (before the sensor-lowering). :)

Hi 98CobrastarLSC,

Thanks for the compliment! The Pewter Grey seems to be the rarest color for the '97 mark VIII.

The tips are DT exhaust tips installed by Speedway Muffler in Upland, CA, when I had Magnaflow mufflers and Jones resonator installed. I searched for DT on the web but couldn't find them. But a good muffler shop would probably be able to locate them. They are about 3"X4" oval, maybe 6 inches long. Closest to stock I could find, as my stocks were thrashed.

I have a more complete description of the car and photos on the other Mark VII site. Just haven't had time to post them here yet, I'll do that this week. But I did see this color thread and wanted to get a post of her up.
