coils covered for canadians 07m07-07n09

For any Canadian members wondering about coil coverage, I received a letter from Lincoln stating that the coils are covered fo 10 years or 160,ooo km from first warranty date. Not long after I bought the car, I registered it with Lincoln using the card found in the middle of the owners manual. This way you will receive any recalls or warranty issues directly from Lincoln. Also covered is the wiper motor gasket and any failed coils caused by moisture from the leaky wiper gasket. Hope this helps any of you wondering. I have a 04, V8 with 100,000 km.

It's 100K miles. Wouldn't that be ~160K kilometers?

that's correct.... 100,000 miles or 160,00 km or 10 years from warranty start date. I think it is the same as what the guys have been saying in the U.S. Mine is an 04 and it does not say anything about vcg's so I assume they're not covered but this issue was apparently fixed in the 04's and newer. Just go to a dealer and get them to use the numbers I posted, they should be able to get info on the extended coverage. Ask them about customer satisfaction program 07M07 for coils and 07N09 for the wiper moter gasket. Maybe call Lincoln Canada directly and ask them to send the letter. 1-800-565-3673. Have your VIN in your hand cause they will ask for it. Hope this helps some of you guys.... I'm real sick of these dealerships trying to screw a guy for this stuff. Hard to believe a coil only lasts 60,000 miles. Imo, that's pathetic.
