Coils and shifting

Ok so my baby is at the dealer again for what I thought was a tranny issue
It stalls a little before it shifts in gear and sometimes hard I was thinking as seloniod spell check lol. This guy says its the miss fire that's causing the stall???? Wtf. And one no of this happening and if not what should I tell this fool before I pick my car up in the morning

It can be hard to tell marginal misfire from a transmission problem. I think the odds are in favor of the coil diagnosis. Also, RFI noise from the coils can cause the PCM all kinds of headaches that might cause its control of the transmission to suffer.

Well mine was misfiring on 2 cylinders the tranny was shifting all kinds of crazy. Fixed both misfires now tranny shifts perfect.

Ok it drove pretty good back home but after letting it sit in the driveway for a sec. I got back in and bagged out driveway and got the same thing hard shift and now I have felt it do it a few times today now. They replace #4 and #6

Changing one or two plugs puts stress on the other 6 (or 4)..its been best to change all at one time..its expensive but what isn't..I recently noticed a loss of power and erratic shifting..combined with CEL's for low efficiency..running rich and lean..and stuttering...come to find out I thought plugs...but it was the K&N filter that wasn't cleaned in 6 months...wow. I cleaned it last night and got pulled over this morning for taking off too fast at a traffic light..lol.

Thanks and if I didn't have a warranty that's what I would do just change them all but the lincoln folks rather replace them one by one

I'm sure the dealer hates me now lol
I had to go back to the shop to get a Cd I forgot in the loaner I was going to complain about the car having the same issues but I didn't have to it was steaming from a coolant leak I told them it had because I could smell it lol I just love this car
