Has anyone tried to contact a company like ground control or skunk2 about getting a set of sleeve over type set ups for our cars?

I am hating my springs. I want lower and stiffer.

I have debated on trying to contact them but I suck at making letters(e mail) and making sense in them.

They would need too many orders to begin working on sets, not enough people interested in them at the price to jump on them to get started. If you want lower and stiffer, get some lowering spring custom made, they will make only one pair fo ryou, no need to get a group buy. It would run you about 700 for custom made springs made to your specs.

already looked into this, not enough interest. So i'm having some special made....

Leda makes adjustable coil-overs. IIRC they were ~$500 per corner.

If you care to wade through 'Land Speed LS' in the HP area, you'll find a comprehensive look at the use of Koni Double Adjustable coil overs.

Anyone have a set of bad shocks front and rear sitting around? Ill pay shipping also. just need one of each.

Over winter im going to figure out a set up and once/if i get it accomplished ill post details.

I plan to get the ground control universal perches and ill figure out the spring height and rates.

Working on this with a very reputable company right now. I'll keep you updated.

Race-type generic coil-overs are easily available with ring-type mounts, and are therefore readily mountable on the botton to the factory positions on the front. It's necessary to fabricate upper mounts in order to use this sort of coil-over.

I've not started to get into the back yet!

Ill also be extending my top hats an inch or 2.

They are looking into cost vs. market (I'm obviously working for us). I'm seeing if/when T-money finishes up parting out his wrecked '06, that I can pick up his shell for a better mock up.

What are you looking for in a coilover? I'd like to roll up what LS owners want to them. Its not a guarantee or anything, but I think currently +$3k for coilovers is crazy.

Well I want it just for the sake of going low. I wanna tuck tires and not bottom out so the spring rates i know will have to be agressive.

ive been working this as well, the cheapest I have been able to get a quote is 600 a corner....

The problem is going to be the market and it being worth making them in mass quantity to lower the cost.

That is the trick with less than 350K LSes made. That's considerably fewer cars than some models sell in a year!

exactly and out of the how many left that are on the road are owned by people looking to mod them in such a way...

If you guys piece together a kit it should be around 600 give or take a 100 or 2

i plan to get gc sleeves and then get springs from either them(eibach) or off of summit.

I will say that 90% of this companies coilovers run about $1100-$1500, so I'd figure a small market one will be about $1300-$1500. I might end up with one-offs that never hit a market, who knows.

thats hopefully a full body coilover. If i was to do something around 1500 and it just be a spring and perch set up ill bite the bullet and buy the KW for the Jag or Tbird for not much more.

I am originally talking about a sleeve over type on a stock shock with extended tops.

I was thinking if the jag susp bolts onto the ls, how much work would it be to make a Jag coil over set up fit the ls..

Maybe some of the more knowledgeable members can chime in.

Addition to the comments above. Koni double adjustable coil-overs cost $600-$700 for each corner. I am in process of exploring the use of other brands of coil-overs that may be available for less money!
