I've heard that when installing the spring struts to the Gen 2 Marks they don't install so smoothly. Has anyone who have them experienced any issues?

i didnt have any problems with mine, just dropped the air struts, slid the new coils in. easy.

Well, I called American Suspension today and ordered 1.5" Lowered Springs. They should be here Friday. I also went to O'Reillys and bought Moog upper and lower control arms and Moog sway bar links. Everything I need to get the job done.

All Gen2 owners please chime in. I am mostly concerned with the rear bags. I've never needed to change the bags in the back, so the springs lock in place some kind of way, or do they just sit there?

Rear springs will just in place where the old bags were. You should get a rubber mat for the bottom to stop squeeks and a top piece which sits on top with a bolt that fit into a hole that you will see.

Rear bags Gen I or II are a breeze... don't worry about them.

Plus Eddie will give you all the information you need to install the springs.

He has an on-line tech article which is the same one on LvC as it was done by the same person.

Nothing to worry about Easy Job... If you have a good friend who can help out that's great.

Bottom front bolt would be easier with an impact wrench. I don't have an air system do I bought a electric one which worked great.

bottom locks down to the lower arm with little tabs in a circle, just get a screw driver or some pliers to get it off, the top theres a little tab you release then you can twist it off of the frame. you changing rear shocks? might as well since youre gonna be under there and doing the front, i also got the lowered kit for mine so when i did mine i got the shortened rear end links from SCP.........

shorthen rear end links. Anyone who lowers their mark with the coil conversion kit, must buy shorthen rear end links?

I don't get it? I didn't have to get anything else to install my lowered kit. I asked Eddie if I needed anything else and he said I would not need anythinge else to install the lowered kit.

Moog makes good stuff, that is what we sell at carquest. Did you get lower ball joints, or a lower control arm? If you drop the arm to install the ball joint, you wont have any problems installing the front spring/shock combo if you bolt them up to the tower before putting the lower arm back in.
