I have a 2000 V6 manual trans 120,000 miles. I need at least one new coil so I'm going to replace the set. I see cheap aftermarket coils on Ebay but hesitate to waste money (only want to do this job once). Should I buy aftermarket off ebay or go for OEM?

Thanks

the cheap ones I bought off e-bay are Ford OE - Ford OE stickers on them, in Ford OE packaging. Exactly like the ones I bough from the Ford parts reseller.

I'd go with new OEM ones. I've heard that the older ones had issues. The cheaper ones on eBay may be the older type. It's a lot of work getting to the 3 unexposed coils and, believe me, you don't want to have to do that again anytime soon. A lot of folks go ahead and take care of valve gasket seals and spark plugs as well when they do the coils as well - especially if you see oil when you pull them out.
