Ok I put variable rate Moog springs in my car instead of the lowered stuff. The front is A ok, but the rear still sits pretty low. I am going to double check on this today because I think maybe I put the spring upside down (but I doubt I did because IIRC the spring will only really sit in the guide thing on top one way- but the instructions say install close coil side up - and the fronts said install close coils side down so i think when i was installing these i installed the backs the same way as the front.
Howeverm, when I was using the instructions for Arnott Industries kit when replacing the springs. Their rear kit comes with a piece for the bottom that bolts onto the A-arm that the rear spring on the bottom. it has a bolt. I had the lowered strutmasters kit, and when I was replacing it I noticed that I did not have this lower piece, albeit all I had was a blanket was on top of the A arm there where the bottom of the spring goes. It did not look like the spring sits on top of this or just turns on it to keep it more stable.
question is, is my car sitting funny like this because I don't have that billet piece or because I put the springs in upside down? A friend suggested that it was because the spring was upside down.
Again variable rate moog springs replacing the strutmasters red lowering springs. Is it possible that the way they lower the rear is just not including that lower mounting piece or is it because I installed them upside?
