Coil connector

Joe, any idea if the wire(pins) are sold by ford? if so, part #? or will any generic wire do?

When I was searching for the connectors one of the sites I visited (RockAuto or O'Rilley's maybe) I found a connector with leads attached. IIRC, the price was ~$25.

Here's one from Auto Zone.

MOTORCRAFT Part # WPT986

Just ordered this from rockauto:
MOTORCRAFT Part # WPT986
- Color: Black; Gender: Female; Leads: 2; Terminal: Tin

Cost me $40 and some change shipped. Decided not to cheap out on this. "Leads:2" means it comes with the cables I need right?

it should come with a couple inches of wire for each pin, you will have to cut the orignal harness off and solder the new one back on

are you saying $40 for one harness???

you could have zip tied them, alot of techs do it and it works fine.

sometimes they break from heat, the best thing is almost like a rubber coated twist tie, they are more durable
