I have a 2003 LS Sport V8 with K&N CAI and this morning got a check engine light. Took it over to AutoZone and the code was P0193 (Fuel Rail Pressure Circuit High Input). AutoZone cleared it for me, but does anyone know what this is and is it detrimental to the engine if it does not get fixed. Also, is this something that I can fix or does it go back to the dealer to fix it.

Thanks
John

P0193 Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit High Input (FRP) Detailed Description
The comprehensive component monitor (CCM) monitors the FRP sensor circuit to the PCM for high voltage. If voltage were to fall below a calibrated limit and a calibrated amount of time during testing, the test will fail.

Possible causes :-
FRP signal shorted to VREF or VPWR.
FRP signal open (gasoline only).
Low fuel pressure (NG only).
Damaged FRP sensor.
Damaged PCM.
High fuel pressure (caused by damaged fuel pressure regulator) NG.

Diagnostic Aids
A FRP PID value during KOER or KOEO less than 0.3 volts for gasoline or 0.5 volts for natural gas vehicles (NG) would indicate a hard fault.
