i would like to change my intake to a cobra intake. what year cobra intake would swap to a 93 mark 8? what else would have to be changed? has anyone done this before? i just hatr the throttle body at the firewall.

I think you can go up to a 98 Cobra intake.

But you will likely need a longer throttle cable. The cruise may be usable, I re-used mine but I have an 01 intake.

You will also need a new intake tube. One from a Gen II will work, a Cobra one may be a tight fit.

Try a search first though, yes Cobra swaps have been done more than a few times. Not that hard really and not terribly expensive.

you can use a 96 thru 98 cobra intake? is there one anyone prefers more than the other. so the only thing i would have to get would be a throttle cable and intake tube? can i reuse the throttle body, egr valve, etc?

i want to do this swap too. can anyone tell me what the price would be around including all parts?

thanks,

It's gonna cost you anywhere from 400-700 bucks total, some gains in the upper rpm's. 98 Cobra intake has the better plastic IMRC's versus aluminum for 96-97.

Under a grand should be no prob at all. This will not work for you, but here is an 01 intake like mine:
