So i hate my life, the past few days i have heard a swish swish sound coming from the right front, today i took her in for an oil change and the tech advised me that i had zero air pressure on the right front, Ever since i have heard that sound i assumed it was the brakes, rotor or pads wore way low, nope tire has been flat all this time, they are runflats. i have been on highway at 120 mph at times and at least 350 miles. so i say wow close call and take in to my tire guy, thinking i ran a nail over or something but nope cracked f-ing wheel......sweeeet. i know some members here have the stype R wheels, zeus ones, does anyone want to sell me a front wheel??? or can i just have it welded???

Dam man a cracked wheel, sorry to hear that. Glad nothing didn't happened to you on the highway at those fast rate of speeds.

Wow, did it not look low on air? Or can you not tell with runflats? I don't really know anything about runflats.

nope looks normal. it was pulling to the right at high speeds and i stopped to get gas once and looked and it looked a lil low but i just shrugged it off and put a few pounds it it later that day.

I would think a weld might work. Not sure if there aluminum though, that could be tricky. Also depends on how much cracked off. If you had the broken peice it would be alot simpler.

I've had acouple rims bend from hitting potholes but i just take wood wedge and pound on it till its sealed. For some reason they only bend on the inner side of the rim???Wich is good i guess.

no its an actual crack , not a broken piece and its on inside of wheel

In case you don't find a new wheel to buy....try WheelMedic out of Columbus Ohio. I used them about 2 months ago to straighten a wheel that I bent. They got it right and only took 3 days to get it so. $105(plus shipping) to correct. It can't hurt to call them and perhaps email a pic. This way your not out of pocket to terribly bad. A Yahoo search will turn them up immediately.

sweet thanks, that may be an option since im in illinois ....

Hate to hammer you after the fact but it has been my experience that funny noises on a car seldom heal them self and need to be investigated.

You should love you very lucky life and count your blessings.

i give all credit to the run flats. if i didnt have them who knows what would have happened when it cracked. I thought the noise was similar to a worn rotor or very low pads, i was gonna buy some pads but then well i found out the bad news, i found a guy on ebay with a set but im not sure if he will break them up

Ah that sucks man. As I was reading it I was praying that it was a stock wheel.

prayers once again unanswered.......im sad..................................my other wheels have summer tires and i have no sets with all seasons...so i guess i drive the 2000 until spring or i get a new wheel

Why drive the 2000? Just swap those wheels from the 2000 onto your 04.

I had 2 cracks rims in the inside....had them welded and balanced..no worries on them for 3000 miles

wow that sucks booty man, check on ebay I think they have an individual wheel for sale.

Don't you have about 10 other sets of wheels sitting around? Why don't you just sell that cracked one to someone else on this forum? :D

Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet, i won a tourney last night ,,,,,,poker,,,,,,$2000 and today find a wheel for 323 shipped..... barand new yaaaaaaaa:)

ya ,, for sale 1 sweet cracked wheel......pay 1 king size snicker and shipping costs

Wow unbelievable, another cracked wheel .... only the fronts though,, why why why.. i had already ordered another one because the paint was off a bit so i will have it tomorrow. my question is is the runflats making this happen more than a regular tire would???

Is it the Jag wheels that keep cracking? I highly doubt the runflats would have anything to do with it but I've been wrong in the past.
