Hey...all

Well my Cat converter went on tuesday i could hear the honey comb rattling inside, took it to my buddies shop and he confirmed it he also said the honey comb has made it's way to the back of the exhaust pipe..We ordered the cat and waited. I let the car sit in my garage for a day pulled it out and the cat was still rattling needed to get around town so i drove it..wish i didn't.. Well yesterday the cat comb rattling was nowhere to be heard then last night needed to hit the bank started the car, it starts but has this wind to it like no air is getting to the engine and it sputters then just shuts off..?? I'll get a video up as soon as my brother comes over with his camera, could a clogged cat do this?? any insight would help

Problem solved!!! lol woooo what a relief !!! Intake valve hose was lose man o man did i ever have a sleepless night

ther was a recall on the PVC hose. They replace it with a all new piece from the front of the intake to the back in the valve cover. check with your Lincoln dealer.

Thanks will do, I bought this car second hand about last year Dec will my local Lincoln Dealer cover this?? Didn't buy it from them. Any other recalls I should know about ?? I googled it but seem to only find lug nut recalls.

Thanks

great video. it sounds like the LS is tryin to whistle :)

I had a feeling of what it was at the time of hearing it but it happened at night so I couldn't really pin point the cause. I panicked for the worse and got the best i guess lol man it was sure a huge relief

They should cover it any way. Call them or go in and see a service rep.

I called today and yup everything is a go I'm dropping it off to the dealer 2mmrw! Thanks appreciate the insight on that, also got my cat replaced with a new 02 sensor everything is back to sounding the way I like it :)

So i finally had the time to drop off the Ls to dealership to get the PVC hose replaced but before all that a service rep starts telling me that they have to run a diagnostics on the car so they can find the route of the problem and if I wanted to buy the part to fix the valve and would have to charge me for the diagnostics. I told him that I was aware of the recall and to up hold the problem as a recall. He played stupid and said that he wasn't aware of any recall. I told him if he wanted me to print out the recall and show him, he said yes, I know stealer-ships are hard headed and in need of money but man what costumer service
