The ole girl (2000 v6) is up over 260,000 now and the climate controll is starting to get a bit confused in its old age. With both sides set to 80 or lower it will blow cold out of both sides for a bit then the pass side will start blowing hot then it will switch and blow cold and the drivers hot and keep randomly doing this as u drive lol. I rem a thread about pushing a button combo on the control head to make it hvac cycle all the doors and give a diagnostic code but i cant find it. anyone happen to know what it is?

those damn DCCV's. i did mine last month. it wasnt as difficult as i thought i would be. the heater hoses were the worst part, those clips can be tricky and hard to get to

ok

i'm pretty sure its the off and floor buttons at the same time, then the auto button within two seconds. it will cycle and give you codes. However, not for the DCCV if its acting up. The hot cool routine between the two vents is a failure of the dccv, its plugged up or a solenoid has failed. Most likely it is just gummed up. check the two solenoids with a vom, you should read between 10 - 23 ohms if the solenoids are ok, you can check them on the connector at the upper radiator. Open the connector, its the lower right and the two left, upper and lower pins. check across the lower right and the two left pins. If the readings are ok, then remove and clean out the DCCV. send me your email address and I'll send you the DCCV report with pictures.
