04 Lincoln Ls V6. My dual climate control works at the extremes, 90 for heat, 60 for AC. Auto function does not appear to work properly. If I set auto temp at 72, I get mostly heat. I did a search on the DCCV, but that does not seem to be my problem as temps are consistent on driver and passenger fields.
One thing I noticed on my father-in-law's Gen 1 is that when you press the temp rocker switch both the passenger and driver's temps go up or down at the same time. On my Gen 2 they are independent, is this correct?
Any and all input appreciated, thanks.

I have noticed on my Gen1 '02 that the drivers side temp control rocker switch controls both sides the same... until you press the passenger side temp control rocker switch, which will adjust the passenger side seperately.

Press and hold the "auto" button. It should re-synchronize the driver and passenger settings.

Your other problem may be a bad thermostat. At least I think that was what was replaced on mine.

You have a bad DCCV. It is stuck open on both sides or both coils or corroded open. That's not that uncommon. Gen I has a bypass door, that's why you still get cooling when set at 60 (max cool).

In addition to pressing and holding the 'auto' button (thanks, I never knew that but I also never use auto mode), if you change the passenger side temperature setting, it will always operate independently of the driver side control until you set the driver's side down to 60, at which point they will also become synchronized again.
