I have been searching high and low for clear lenses (lenses located inside the headlight, NOT side markers). I have contacted anyone that I could find that might be a lead.

I have FINALLY found a company that will produce them after searching since October. However, they want a minimum order of 5 sets in order for it to be profitable for them. They gave a price of $350 for the 5 sets. I don't exactly want to spend that much. Although I could sell the remaining 4 sets to recoup my money. I don't really want to test the waters on the resale side. This works out to be $70 per set. The sets that were produced by lskoncepts, com, back in the day were going for $80 per set.

Plus it's better than paying $3XX to the jerk-off selling the entire headlight assembly on ebay that called me a "cheap idiot" for even asking if the manufacturer could produce the clear lenses to sell alone.

Anyways, I am waiting for a response if the price includes shipping. It may not. Let me know by posting a response if you would like to hop on the bandwagon.

Wow... what an a$$. Good luck. Clear lenses definitely look better than no lenses. I'd consider it if I didn't already go a different way with my lights though

Shipping is included. For the batch. Shipping to me and then I will ship them out to those whom wish to jump in. No additional funds needed.

They will be available to start producing them in mid march. So there is some time yet to get a few more people.

sorry for the ASSumption here, but you do have to take the headlights
apart to swap out the lens, correct ?

Good news, provided they're original, I think your headlights are guaranteed to have the gray sealant you can soften in the oven. Just make sure you take off the adjusters... Twist, pull, then pull harder. They snap into the headlight bucket via ball joint

I don't understand why Alex isn't popping these things out like hot cakes anymore, many of people want them, tinted versions that is.

I brought his thread back to life about 2 weeks ago and I PM'd him at the same time. No response as of yet. I'm not going to bug him.

he's got a lot on his plate right now....

precisely why I don't want to bug him. You never know whats going on in someone else's life. Best not to be a pain in the neck. LOL

What about popping in some nice 2nd GEN regular non-HID head lamps,
anything special involved with that, requires rewiring? will there be a gap of sorts?

Thought Rollin put some in his 1st GEN and 1) ran into some wiring issues, 2) said there was no gap.

??? ~ on my list, 2nd GEN headlamps that is.

I like the Gen I headlights better than Gen II. Personal preference I guess.

I agree. I'm not a fan of the Gen 2 blinker bulb/reflector/retroreflector mishmosh. The built-in side retroreflector looks like it was glued on from a bicycle shop. On the other hand, some may confuse Gen 1s with Diamantes (with lens) and Elantras (without)...................

I do remember seeing a post (I think in a "What has your LS been confused with") in which the guy was going to race someone, and the opponent said "I'll race you, but only if you don't have the V6" thinking it was a Diamante with either an I4 or V6.

"I assure you, I do not have a V6" said the LS

Kiddin' me? the 2nd GEN signals are much better looking that 1st. Personal preference as already mentioned. BUT ... I could go for some medium tint on the 1st GEN signals. I don't mind the amber colored ones either but am leaning towards trying out the entire 2nd GEN headlamps.

Alex 'was' offering a few selections of tints, light to dark. Medium looked good to me at the time.

There is an ugly green Diamanté in my complex. I try very hard not to park ANYWHERE near it. LOL

I thought they were nice looking cars 10+ years ago. Then I met the LS, which, while it does resemble it, does the styling much better. The Diamante has just become an awkward Galant that needs sleep to me.

The headlights, the krill-eating baleen grille, braces lower grille, RWD... Maybe I'm just looking for the LS, but there's no denying the headlight similarity.

Those mirrors ... someone dropped the ball on that one.

- look at the curves on the hood,
- look at the curves going up along the roof directly from the windshield.

... same as the LS.

- the lower front grille, them fogs

F' me, the whole thing looks like an LS.

Eh, that style mirror is popular now. It gives you more visibility The difference is newer cars have more-angled door sills. Look at the '13 Fusion
