Cleaning injectors,

Hey guys,


I need some opinions about some things. I have found yet another vacumn leak at the injector O-rings. I have already taken them out and am getting readyto soak the ends in BG 44K, but am concerned with the condition of the plastic caps on the engine side of things. Can these be left off or is this a no no? I am going to be replacing all 8 injectors with 42# units in the next 5-6 months, I'm just trying to get these to last a bit longer.

I have replaced pintle caps on injectors before, I still have some brand new injector caps [pintle caps] left in my garage if you're interested.

Napa sells "rebuild" kits with caps and stuff. Dont think they cost that much. I purchased a bunch a few years ago.
