I already tried the search feature, FYI

I'm cleaning my KKM intake cone for my LS and I was wondering how much grams of the oil must I apply? I tried following the instructions on the oil can saying to check www.sbfilters.com but they don't even have our intake size on there.....not for the thunderbird or LS. So anyone know how much I should be applying? Or even better...how much it is in ounces or cups vs the grams the mention. I'll just use a unit conversion anyways but just lemme know the amount....

so I think I may have gotten it... for the 3.0liter V6 of Ford it's 24g of oil, for a 4.6L engine by Ford it's 43g of oil. The difference between the two is 1.6L and 19g of oil. Divise the 19 by 1.6 and you get 11.875g of oil per liter in the engine. So then multiply .9L by 11.875g and you'll get 10.69g of oil, tack that onto the 24 from the 3.0 and you'll have 34.69g of oil needed to clean the 3.9L V8, or so I assume....

yes but as it says on the Oil can by spray too much you could damage your engine and spraying too little is just as bad..... .. Anyways I got it done but a noticed that my oil is gonna need changing too as well as my coolant looks low (no warning yet) so I'm gonna get that capped off as well at firestone

I do mine just as the can says "till it is just red" and let it soak in over night, wipe off the excess spray on the rubber and metal parts, and have not had any problem. Yes you can over do it, for once a little is better than too much.

been busy. I got laid off from my job so I've busy trying to get a new job, new roommate, help my mother out with her divorce/bankrupcy thanx to my dad, helping out with my grandmothers' funeral who just died, dating the chick from comcast, etc so it's been busy...hell I haven't even gotten back to the Frogster now about helping his buddy get on a diet.....
