Cigarette lighter

I tried using my car charger in the 97 and it wouldn't work.. I looked down and saw a penny lodged in there flat.

Dug the penny out, but now.. it doesn't work.

I'm wondering if the components itself are fried.. or would it be a fuse??

I havnt looked into it.. it's too hot outside, just thought i'd ask before further inspection..

Also.. how do I get to it.. I'm pretty new to Marks so.. I dont want to break anything.

mine had the EXACT same thing happen. I got the penny out with some double sided foam tape and a dowel, then i had to replace the fuse.

ok......i totally feel incompetent asking this now.

Which fuse is the Cig lighter fuse?

I look at the panel and I dont see anything listed for it, or am i overlooking it.

Looked at it at night last night.. before i went into the local auto parts store.. and gave up.
