Just wanted some opinions on the best wheel cleaner and tire shine that last the longest and gives the brightest shine?????

I'm a fan of using regular car wash on both. Then use an AIO product on the chrome wheel and tire dressing is a lot about whether you like the overly bright shine or a more deep black.

I just use windex on my rims, and jetblack i think is the name of the tire shine, it only last 48hours and you have to scrub the tire and let it dry before applying.

If they have some imperfections that wont wash off, get some mothers chrome polish and have at it!! Then wipe down with some car wax..

After you've tried the rest, get the best... Blue Magic Metal polish. ;)

It'll take some elbow grease or a Mother's polishing ball and cordless drill, but it works very well. Don't forget to follow with wax and wear sunglasses! :D

I use eagleone, last for a couple weeks, won't pick up dirt. As far as rim cleaner, windex and newspaper (don't laugh it works awesome) and wendels soft metal polish.

My only suggestion is if they are bad enough that they need a metal polish use it sparingly... I don't like using anything that harsh on my chrome. After you get them polished try and keep up on the maintenance using an AIO product so you don't have to be so rough on them again :)

I use Westley's Bleche-white & a tire brush on mine, it makes them so clean that tire shine isn't needed, it's a nice matte black that lasts about 3 weeks at a time. Just food for thought.

I had never tried Chrome Wheel Cleaner before. Well I ran a set on my Expedition through the winter. I let them get good and nasty. Then tried Mequires(sp) chrome cleaner on two wheels, and The Scrubbing Bubbles bathroom cleaner on the other two. Both did a brilliant job but the Scrubbing bubble stuff was some I had the wife pick up at the Dollar Store. Brilliant stuff really and non abraisive. I dont recomend using these cleaners on a regular basis however. If the wheels need a good cleaning then fair enough. But not at every washing.

Cheers

Brad

I use Castrol Super Clean Tire Gloss & Castrol Super Clean All Wheel Cleaner and it leaves a shine for about 5 or 6 days before theres a noticeable difference of brake dust buildup nd other particles
