Cheney admits to war crimes....

Yup, but then we wouldn't be the democracy loving United States;)
But doing the cold, bloodthirsty thing is what we train the military for. We hire and train killers to protect us so we don't have to do it ourselves.

And then we shoot ourselves in the foot by performing social experiments with the military such as women soldiers, using it for Meals on Wheels, and sensitivity training.

If you're going to train killers, train killers, period. Sometimes you have to be ruthless in order to defeat a ruthless enemy.

We should just nuke some major city in the Islamic world into ash, Baghdad, Tehran, Riyadh, Cairo, Amman etc, really doesn't matter which. Then state "if we're ever attacked again, we'll spin the 'Islamic-City-Wheel' and repeat." That'll show those ruthless bastards.

Ah, now you sound like Obama.

Ah, now you sound like Obama.

I was clearly using sarcasm and he said nothing of the sort.

But what's wrong with what Obama said? "If we have actionable intelligence on al Qaeda operatives, including [Osama] bin Laden, and President Musharraf cannot act, then we should". Isn't hunting down terrorist who could harm us something we want?

Nothing is wrong with such a policy, it ultimately because an issue of judgment and policy. Is it necessary to announce such a policy DESPITE the destabilizing influence it can have in an already volatile country? Foreign policy is as much about politics, spin, and what you don't say as it is simply a policy.
