Check transmission / E code, 02 ls v8. Any help or advice is appreciated

    Just bought it a week ago, it started shifting hard and it feels like it' slipping also,
    Looking for some advice or help on it before I tare into it.

    Read out the codes (need a Ford specific reader), and go from there.

    Somewhat common issues are:
    Solenoid assembly problem
    Valve body problem
    PCM problem (usually doesn't trigger the "E")
    Worn servo bore(s)
    Broken servo(s)

    If it's really slamming on the shifts, don't drive it. You'll break a band.

    Joegr. Thanks for the advice.

    It spit a P0745 code, PCA solenoid circuit failure - shorted circuit.
    I'm thinking replacing the shift solenoids will do the trick?
