Some of you may know and others may not, I recently swapped my car over to a 5spd. And now that it's back on the road I from time to time get a check traction control message.

What I'm wondering is if it is swap related or I have something going bad. I have no ideas what causes that message and I'm looking for ideas.

based on your video I believe it is your driving :D that is causing the traction problem

Check your cars voltage. In second gens when the charging system gets weak and the voltage drops down below 11v then the first error that displays is "Check Traction Control".

Every time I had that error it was voltage related. Car would start fine, run fine and everything would work but if I was at a stop light too long on a hot night with the stereo and AC on then as soon as I would go to take off it would give me that error. Twice it was from an alt going out and once from a battery about to die and another time was from playing the system too long with the car off and then starting it and letting the lights turn on.

I'll have to check that out. I suppose its possible.

I have been getting other random messages while driving but I kind assumed there were cause by the swap but now Idk

I get, "Check traction contol" some gear display error, fuel flow rate, and possibly one more and in accordance the tach stops working. But while all this is going on it still drives normal.

Do you have something hooked up to the OBD port? Thats all the errors a car gets when there is a temp power interruption on the ECU. If you ever pulled the ECU then you may want to check the connections.

Yea I know that, nothing is pluged into the OBD port. I had to reground the whole the computer due to the wire lengthing that we did to make the computer sit in the trunk. I'll double check the grounds and trace things along the path I guess.
