After some research I finally decided to do a real retrofit on my 02 LSE. Parts I used:

E46 OEM Bi-Xenon Projectors, ballasts, ingniters $250 (on ebay)
BMW Shouds $35
Helix Angel Eyes $70 ( i think it says they are 5300mcd)
Pair of Headlights $100 (from junkyard)

Since this was my first retro, it took me a while to figure everything out and put it toghether, but overall when its all said and done, its pretty easy, just time consuming. I also modded the projectors to give off more blue at the cut of line. In the end, after I adjusted the aim of my headlights, the results are amazing. :D Now I just need to buy the Philips 6000k bulbs. Also, since these are bi-xenon's, that means that it has low and high beams in a single projector. Gives the LS a whole new look, especially during the day:) Let me know what you guys think?

looks clean.. im really a lazy person.. would u be willing to do a project like this for money? let me know.
 
Right now I wouldn't have any time to reproduce these, plus I wouldn't even know how much to charge. But if ever in the future I decide too, I will definiatly offer my services on this forum. The other problem is that it took me a while to get all of the hid pieces on ebay for a good price, the projectors and stuff are usualy $100 more then what I paid for them. But the hardest thing to find was the shrouds, I had to check ebay everyday for a while to get the ones I needed.
 
awesome job! Looks great! How did you seal the back? Also, did you wire it up to where the high beams and the projector flapper opens when you select high beams? I had a hard time figuring out how to do the wiring but I finally figured it out. (don't remember how :confused: )

For the high beams, I did some research on hidplanet.com, and found out that you have to fabricate a special harnes with a relay, diodes and stuff to make the shutter open properly with out the chance of frying it. Since I'm not too bright on those stuff, I'm gonna buy a made one from one of their members. As for the back, I just taped it up temporarly until I figure out the best way, probably gonna fab something out of plastic. I guess I was too excited when I finnished them and just decided to put them on the car and worry about the back later, lol.
 
Oh, forgot to mention above, I didn't do the outer lights becaue there isn't enough room for the projector, probably half of it would be sticking out the back. But I suppose you can do it if you use a smaller projector from a different car. Plus for my taste, it looks better in the middle.

I have quite a few diodes, a capacitor, and a relay (or two) connected to mine as well. The problem I found while hooking mine up was that the car has a constant positive supply and a switched negative, so I had to use another relay to act like a PNP to switch that around, so I could use the harness.

As far as sealing the rear, I used tape that is designed to seal duct work up, and then put a thin coat of fiberglass resin to completely seal it. It has been a year now and I've had zero problems with moisture.

My projectors are more in the headlights, and only half of the solenoid is sticking out, (will post pictures tonights) so it will be much easier to cover it up for me. But I was thinking probably the same thing like you did, some duct tape, and just paint it black. Hey Justin, what kinda bulbs are you using for the hid's? those look pretty good. Also great job on the install, looks very oem! Doesn't seem like your reflector is affecting the output, which is good. I had to paint mine black and cover it with a shroud.
 
Here's some pictures of the back. Also, notice how I painted part of the chrome turn signal housing black. I did it to seperate the projector from the chrome, and plus it was just to much chrome for me, so decided to do something different.

The bulbs are 4300K philips. I have plenty of brand new D2S bulbs if you or anyone needs a set (I can get them cheaper than anywhere else...ebay, etc $49 a pair!)

The reflector does not affect the output at all since everything except the projector glass is recessed behind the reflector. I will take some more pictures of how I sealed the back and post it.

This is part of the wiring setup that I used for the projector solenoids. I had to play with the capacitor and resistor values to get the relay to momentarily pull in and then release, but that should get you started.
 
does any1 know this guy? I send him a pm days ago but havent got a response, I wanna put those projectors into my headlights but Im not sure how to stick em in nor how to adjust the height of em. Has any1 else done this?

I really crave a projector headlight for the LS but IMO those look realy out of place. IMO you should on this car have High projector, Low projector and maybe figure out a round turnsignal thats projector based like some newer Mazdas.
 
Well yeah but first I ought try 1! then I can put a second projector and the round turn signal, but for now I want a single one and see out it turns out!
 
Way to go. That has to be a good set up considering where you sourced them. Looks great!
