I get a check engine light that comes on when I sustain 100 mph. This started happening this weekend. I pulled the code and it came back as:

214 - Error in Cylinder ID (CID) circuit or signal

Does anyone know what could be causing this?

Did a little research, looks like that is usually the cam position sensor. Sometime the sensor is bad, other times just a short in the wire. Sensor is located right behind the power steering resevoir.

Kind of weird the code isn't on all the time though..? Is it on now, or only when you hit 100?

you know, I thought the code sounded familiar - I replaced this sensor last summer. I think I will check the wires on the sensor to see if there is a good connection.

It IS weird that it only happens if I stick at 100 - could be the vibration of the engine at that speed making the connection jumpy, if it's not tight? I will t ake a look later today. Thanks!

Yep that is a code for the cam sensor or connection to it... easy to get to and fix.
