Check Advance Trac Light On

I have a 2000 LS-8 with Advance Trac. I have been experiencing this intermittent problem:

When I start up my car, the lights for the parking brake (not engaged), ABS and Advance Trac all light up and stay lit on my dash throughout my drive. The Information Center says "Check Advance Trac" and the Advance Trac button lights up, indicating it is off. The car seems to drive perfectly even with all these lights on.

This is not happening every time I start the car but occasionally. I keep the Advance Trac on all the time as it really saved my a** (not ot mention my fenders) on black ice a few years ago.I just had a new battery installed (don't know if this is related). Any ideas? I don't want to have to drag the car into the dealer for another costly repair!

you've obviously got something wrong with your anti-lock brakes/advancetrac system. Get the codes pulled; it's much better than shooting in the dark

I'm wondering if it's just an anomaly. The message has happened 3 times upon start in the past 6 weeks, but most of the time doesn't appear...The last time I took my car in for front suspension work it cost me $3000 and I don't want to have another heart attack!
