Ok, I'm a big noob with it comes to DIY jobs, now, i have to replace the license plate lights .. Is that changable from the trunk lid, remove that matting? Or i can do it from the outside? Because one of that lights that is out that protector or w/e its called, that outside of it that clear piece.. Is loose, i think its from my sub in my trunk :p So once and i while i would have to go outside slide it to the right so it can stay in place, thus why im asking if i have to go in the trunk to replace the bulb.

Ok next is the 3rd E Brake light, trunk or pop open that grey cover? I'm also thinking of replacing that factory bulb with a nice set of LEDs. Lookin like this ..

Think i can pull that off? No one on here has done that yet

Thanks.

Remove that covering and you can get them out. You'll have to press IN on one side of the connector and pull it off the bulb at the same time. After that, twist the bulb out. To put the LEDs in is reverse of removal. Kind of hard to explain and kind of a PITA, but you'll see what I mean when you go to do it.

I knew to you where going to be the first person to comment, lmao :)

Thanks, anything on the 3rd brake light? I think i have to ask AutoZone if they make them to fit the 3rd brake light, if not, that blows.

Yeah, that's me...sittin' here waitin' for the woman to get outta the shower so I can go to sleep :D

No idea on that 3rd brake light. The 2nd Gens are LEDs already.

license plate one is a regular 194 wedge bulb, lskoncepts carries them as well as superbrightleds.com (where i got mine from)

^ +1 and yes you can easily find LEDs like the ones shown in that pic in the size needed for the third light.

Mine is loose! Is it the drivers side or the passenger side?

Why is the LS prone to the same exact parts failing? lol!

Like its always the driver side license plate light housing, its always the rear drivers side window regulator.,..etc,..etc...lol!

No. I have been thinking about just gluing the thing in but I'm sure that might lead to some issues down the line.

Ok, so i went to AutoZone today and they said they don't carry it for the LS ..

So where can i get that exact size for the 3rd brake light? I don't even know the size of it, i did take out that cover from the 3rd brake light, wasnt bad.

They should:confused: , try Advanced. If you don't have any luck with that just get some off of cheese-bay or superbrightleds.com

damn, i knew i should've stopped by there too, It was right next door to AutoZone, lmao.

But i was like, if autozone doesnt have them, why would advanced, but I'm gonna go now and check it out since i didnt put back the grey cover.

Advanced has lots of little things like that where Autozone dont.

The best it gets in the little town where I live is OReilly's. Be thankful you guys have those places!

alright guys I got it and I put it in looks sick ... I'll post pics later right now its raining. Ok so I'm in the LED mode, I want to change my tail lights to LEDs ... Anyone try that out yet ?

Thanks for all your help guys.

You need load resistors or the message center will give a false bulb out indication and you might end up with hyper flash.

For the turn signals. Im not sure about the brake lights.

Problem, so my car is off no lights on what so ever, i went to get something in the trunk and the 3rd brake light with the LEDs, have a very dim light to them, you think its because i've been driving all day? because i have .. But I'm going to give it an hour to rest outside in the driveway, since im not going anywhere else tonight, at least i dont plan to, but hopefully it will be completely shut off.
