Center Console Question....

I own a 2000 lincoln LS v8...

luckily i beleive my interior color is light parchment (fairly common color)

Ive noticed theres a difference in center consoles between the 2000, the 2001-2002 and the 2003+. im partial to the 03+ myself becuase of the arm rest.

will the 03+ work in my car? do i need to get a 01-02?

I dont mind buying new, im just not sure where to buy from can anyone give me a link? Ive done a search on team ford under a 2001 lincoln LS, came up with nothing. perhaps there site is down?

also my arm rest squeeks, i absolutly hate it...is the build quality on the 01-02 or 03+ better?

Hey. I suggest you find the parts either on E-Bay or on team ford, its a vendor here and the link is of to the right of the page.

As far as quality. The others are way better,I'm still looking for a updated one for my midnight black cause the thing fell off while being serviced. If you wish I would suggest getting the 02 not only is the armrest itself better made but the cup holders are way better looking and don't flip open creating that annoying unleveled lid.

The 03+ have electric parking brake. Others have done it but I believe you would have to give up your parking brake.

Im unsure of what im looking at on teamfordparts site. its working now, but when i do a search for console. i dont know what is what. no pictures or diagrams. theres "armrest" "console" "cupholder(dual/single)" all costing between 100$ and 200$. what do i need?

Yes it is a bit vague but you can try to contact them VIA this forum.

Post them a message on the Team Ford forum. Its at the bottom of the forum list page under Vendor Forums.

Otherwise use E-Bay. I see your color all the time every day they have one in your color. LKQ is a good store that usually Carry's them.


Also if you remove the console on the bottom is a sticker that has all the info and numbers.
