I'm looking for a new center console, preferably the non flip cup holders. I looked on the Team Ford site and cant find my color. My color on the tag says Midnight Black but I cant find midnight black on the site. Anyone know of this and think they can help me out with what one would be the right one to choose? Also, I don't know exactly what series of numbers is the part number to tell if I am looking at the exact item I need. I would like to buy the whole assembly but if I can save, seeing on how the dealership wants 200$ for the entire assembly I would like to but if I can find the non flip I would buy the whole thing.

Thanks, I called everyone a few weeks ago for another part and got no where at all. Everything was tan or none at all. Im on a list but I doubt anyone will call me back.

Thanks.

Keep an eye on ebay, I found mine there, but took a couple months.... Also try getting ahold of LKQonline I thinks that's there name. I should know 'cuz they sold me the console. They also have an online store, and tend to scrap a lot of LS's since they show up on almost any "lincoln ls" search on Ebay...

There is one on E-Bay I am looking at but it says light parchment. It looks to me to be my same color but I e-mailed the guy and have been waiting response. This really is the only thing holding me back from my LS being fully fixed and CLEAN again. I think after what I have been into with this car I would fall deeply in love with it all over again.

I to have been searching for months, more like a year. I ask LKQ frequently for one but they never have my damn color, this seems to be the biggest thing. I wish they would get one cause I had got stuff from them before that was a great transaction like my wood knob and wheel.

Light Parchment is beige. Sorry. Don't get this one if you're trying to match a black interior. I looked at the picture of the auction you're talking about... some of the plastic parts on the Light Parchment interiors were actually more of a chocolate brown. It looks black in the photo, but trust me, its not.

Any Ford or Lincoln dealer should be able to at least identify the part for you, including the color code. If worst comes to worst, you can simply buy the new part, no? Its only $200.

Thanks for the heads up, I'll stear clear from it.

There is no way Im paying $200 for it if I could just get it from Team Ford. I'll just wait to hear from them on this unless someone can fill me in on why the hell it says Midnight Black but it dont seem to exist with that color name.

is your interior actually black?

if so, you just need to hang tight for a black one to come along ( I remember seeing one within the last 30 days on ebay, as well as when I was looking) 'cuz they normally go from 60-80 on ebay...

Or contact online junkyards like LKQ till you find one who has one...

Yes its that black leather/dark charcoal type color. But like I said on the sticker under the console with the part numbers it says Midnight Black. This is where I am confused, on Team Ford there is no Midnight Black. I wouldn't imagine it is cause they are out of stock either.

Thanks so far guys, if anyone has any info on this color matching situation let me know, I think if I can get this straightened out I'll just get the arm rest from team ford and wait till I find the rest of the assembly at a yard. The cup holder don't bug me much at all cause its almost always open holding my phone its just that my damn arm rest busted off when I had it serviced and since I didn't report it right away they said I had to pay for it and it wasn't all the way off at first, it was dangling for a bit then just came right off after a few weeks.

Dun, what colors ARE available from Team Ford parts?

FYI, the Black interior available in the 00-02 model years was called "Deep Charcoal", and had interior color code 4W. There was no "Midnight Black" in any of the 00-02 cars. As an aside, I recall ordering rear sill plates for my 06 LS. They are black, and were called Midnight Black in the dealer's online catalog too. I recall mentioning this to the parts guy, and he said any part that is black is called Midnight Black. This might be the situation you are in.

I acually bought that one last week (before seeing this thread), for the same reason (i hate those stupid flip up cup holders). I needed one that was Graphite, but i couldnt find any, so i bought that one and ordered the graphite paint and repainted it myself. It looks great!!

What did you top coat it with to seal it.
I've painted interior trim pieces before and they look great,, for awhile, then paint starts to wear off and the original molded in color comes through.

I used clear coat engine paint. They sell it at auto zone and advanced auto. I use it whenever i paint interior pieces and it always looks great and lasts forever. Paint it with the base coat, wet sand, spray on the clear and once it dries, put some armor all on it and it will last forever. I'll take some pictures today and post them.

Graphite - 2000-02 - 2000-02 00-02

Parchment - 2000-02 - 2000-02 00-02

Dark greystone - 2000-02 - 2000-02 00-02

Deep charcoal - 2000-02 - 2000-02 00-02

I'll take some pics of the tag then also so I can show you, I feel nuts. Does this mean that this part may have been replaced already?

Sorry Blue but there is no way Im painting this, I want it to look and stay as stock as I can inside. The only changes I made are my steering wheel and knob, sometime after I stop puting into repairs I'll get the double din Navi but thats it.

The only way to get the right interior color is with the vin number. Car manufacturers have employed people that like the call the same color 5 different names to be cute I think. So if my catalog says parchment it could be any shade of light brown/tan etc. Post your vin here or as a pm and Ill tell you the proper name and the most likely color for that particular trim piece as it is called in my catalog. Different parts on the same car have different color names as well???? still do not know why??? If you thisk this is a lot of trouble for your one or two cars..think what it is like for a parts person looking up hundreds!!

OK! Since your car has a Deep Charcoal interior, get the Deep Charcoal console. FYI, Dark Greystone is also called "Truffle", another color that was available in 2000 -- Its a grayish brown and not what you want.

My console looks completely stock. In fact, it looks like a brand new console rather then ordering a used one that might be scratched. I ordered the same color paint that was used on the original. I can set my old console and my new one right next to each other, and there is no difference in color.

How did the arm rest come off? When I bought my car the lid was off and in the trunk, but I got some screws that are a little larger than the holes and it's been holding strong for over a year now. Try the cheapest fixes first.

It got ripped off and I'm not even sure how. They did it at the dealership and eventually it came all the way off and I tried about every cheap fix from crazy glue to gorilla glue and then I filled in the holes with foam and tried to glue it all together again ( gluing in the screws ) but in all it still came apart in a few days.
