My 93 has many mini mods going on with it. This one is to get the steering wheel to fit onto the shaft. The center inserts on the Gen 1 is different than the Gen 2. So first I had to remove the center insert from the Gen 1, and the Gen 2, and put the Gen 1 insert into the Gen 2 wheel. It's great when you have a machine shop at your disposal. The Gen 1 insert is straight knurled, and the Gen 2 wheel is diamond knurled, so they just wont just insert. After I drilled out the insert, the center became oversized. So next I had my welding buddy to fill in the center with weld. Next I have to bore out the center and knurl the ends to press in the Gen 1 insert. Here is what I have so far.
