I made another mesh grille with the gen2 grille I picked up a few months ago. The member that wanted it has not replied back in about a month and hasn't logged in in a few months so it's going up for sale.


I used insta cure and insta set to attach the mesh this time instead of epoxy. It came out better than the first one. The grille is in decent shape, it has normal wear on it. I would suggest color matching for it to looks it's best on your car.

damn i think i want this...how much do body shops usually charge for grilles??
 
I dont know. I went to a shop that was a bit more expensive than other, but I knew for sure they do a great job. I got charge 450 to get 3 grilles and my rear surround painted in a tri-coat pearl. That breaks down to about 113 per grille. Non tri-coat paints will be cheaper and depends the shop too, or you can paint it your self for like 30 bucks.

Yeah the it was a small bend. I tried taking apic with the phone but you couln't tell with that pic. The worker who showed them to me said to tell george, or whoever you spoke to, to get it fixed and you would buy it from him then. He said they have a guy who fixes all their rims so it's real cheap for them to do. He said it would cost like 80 to fix and you could probably get them for 500 instead of 530(450+80).

Do you still have the mesh? I still want to make one for my '06.

I didn't do it, i took it to a shop. Thats the first one i did over the summer.

The one I did last night is still chrome


Oh yeah, I kept forgetting about you mike, I still have it. How far do you live from oceanside? I'll be going there shortly so I can drop one off for you or we can meet half way.

gen2 2 piece grille. You take the center off and are left with a one piece chrome surround to attach the mesh to.
