Hello.I have a '95 sig series Towncar. It does not have a changer in the trunk and has a tape deck. Is it possible to find another Ford single cd and swap them out. Found one & it didn't match up.What type of vehicle should look for?Any other info or ideas?Besides going aftermarket. thanks

well both of you guys should start off in the local junkyard you should look for 91'-97' model year of Grand Marquis other Town Cars and Crown Vics. Or if you cant find any in the junkyard you can look here http://replacementradios.com/town-car-c-21_36_425.html or here http://oem-auto-accessory.com/factory_ford_radios.html or here http://www.oemautosound.com/c-104-lincoln-factory-radio.aspx. drcadillac I have no experience with cadillacs but start of in a junkyard first then look here http://replacementradios.com/cadillac-c-21_27_61.html

Ford never had an in-dash CD for Town Cars of that era. If you find one it will be for a newer car which presents 2 problems:

1) The wiring won't match up. You may be able to buy an aftermarket adapter for your car's harness (as if installing any aftermarket radio) and an adapter that plugs into the new radio (as if repairing a broken harness on the newer car) and splice the two together. In that case, just join all the same colors and you're done.

2) You know how the stock radio is almost 2-DIN in front but only 1 DIN in the rear? That's because of a major reinforcement bar that blocks placement of any larger radio. That bar was moved for 2003+ which is why those cars offer more radio choices. Clearance will be a big hurdle for "full size" radios.
