cd changer maker

How do I tell who made my cd changer in my 95 mark viii, short of taking it out of the car. Is there a way to tell just by looking at it? I think I remember hearing that there were a couple different manufacturers, but are the connectors the same?
It's a 10 disc changer, it just says Ford audio systems on it.
Funny thing about it, every time I slide the door open, the magazine is ejected.
