My trip computer keeps flashing "CCT 7" at me and I can't find it in my Owners Guide. Does anyone know what this mean and how I fix it? She's a 1990 Mark VII LSC. Thanks for any help you can give me.
First try disconnecting the battery. That will reset / reboot the Message Center. Reconnect it. See if that error reappears.
If so, it probably indicates some external component is faulty. For instance, the fuel sending unit provides information the computer needs to make DTE calculations, and that sending unit may have a problem.

It's very likely your Message Center can run a self-diagnostic routine. I know the '88 Mark7 can. I suspect they all can.
The tests run through all the functions.. clock.. Distance To Empty, etc..
If some particular function doesn't visually display like it's supposed to it gives you a starting point from which to investigate further.
