is there any program that will do the same as carfax but for free... I just checked carfax and said my car had 8 problems... kinda curious on what they were.. seein that it only has 30k miles.. anyways heres my vin if someone can do somethign with it..

Yea...well, from a few of the 'busa's I've seen, you would have great knowledge of how they look...because you are always going to be seeing them out in front of you. My God they can be made into monsters.

Maybe carfax is better, but I'm a little bit skeptical about how good these reports are. I don't think they're very good at listing accidents...

I was shown an autocheck at purchase of my car... 6months later a carfax.... guess what? Carfax showed a wreck that autocheck didn't... My car value dropped about 3k from that *thanks to gimp dealership pricing*.. Oh well I don't want to sell it and it runs great =P.

All depends on if/how the accident was reported. We looked at a '01 Maxima that was listed CHEAP. We almost got that instead of the second LS. Fortunately the guy was honest and said he was in a minor accident. We asked him for the body shop paperwork and he provided. They replaced about EVERY panel on that car including the floor board. If they would have reported it, I think it would have been totalled. The car looked and drove great and CARFAX showed a perfectly clean report. I was still tempted to buy because of the way it drove. I didn't want to take the chance. So...what did I do instead??? Bought an LS off ebay...paid in full before I ever saw the car. Duh....
