car turns on, accessories turn off

with the key in the on position everything works fine. but as soon as i start the car everything else turns off. windows, stereo, cluster (still illuminates but needles dont move). any ideas on what could cause this?

Ignition switch would be my first place to look.

thats what my dad said. are you talking about the actual key switch or is there a relay somewhere?
