I've had my 96 LSC for over 6 months now, it always sits at N in "normal" on the temp gauge. When i'm running the MAX AC it sits at "M" constantly???? I even notice myself putting the MAX AC on when i'm ready to park the car overnight and it is on "N" just so it cools to a cooler temperature.

WTF is going on here?

PS if it is on "M" then i shut the ac off, then floor it, it is much faster then when i floor it when it's on "N"....leading me to believe that the engine is cooler obviously.

the a/c triggers the cooling fan to turn on,possibly your fan is not coming on soon enough without having the a/c triggering it...?

coolant fan temp sensor , anyone know?

You SIT AT THE N ????? THE top of the gauge?
THATS WAYYYY TOOOO HOT MAN??!!!!

Man I run at the L all day long with my fans on high. Geeeez man you better get this fixed your going to blow the motor at those temps.

I unplug my AC compressor just so I can run the fans at high speed all the time. I don't use ac so it's fine for me.

when you turn the AC on the PCM commands "high speed fan" which normally wouldn't come on unless your engine was well above 200 degree's.

so it would make sense, the car might run cooler with the ac on.
SO long as the condenser core isn't adding too much heat into the radiator.

My car also runs a "little cooler" with the AC on, maybe 2-3 degree's according to the datalogs, but 2-3 degree's isn't even "measurable" on the stock gauge.

MAX AC turns the fan on high speed.

"N" is too high for normal operating temps.
