alright lately when I unlock my 97 mark with the key (lost the keyless doohicky) it'll unlock but the alarm goes off... I was thinking maybe something's sticking inside... any ideas?

The Keyless is arming the OE alarm passivly on last circuit close. You may need a remote to disable the programing feature.

It's probably the switch inside the door lock not disarming the system as it should. It should not matter if you have the remote or not.

Like Icarus said, there is a switch that just clips to the back side of the door lock cylinder. It's not hard for it to fall off. This switch disarms the factory alarm when you don't use the keypad or the keyfob. Pull the door panel, look up by the rear of the lock cylinder. You should see a little plastic piece with a couple wires coming out of it, it should be attached to the rear of the lock cylinder, if it's not reattach and then test.
