Ok ya'll it's been a while since i posted cuz this has been rattling inside my head for a while i can't make up my mind. I've been saving up for a 2010-Up Camaro SS/RS for a while now & already have a list of things i wanna do to it but with the 6th Gen Camaro & 50th Anniversary Mustang coming out in less than two years I was thinking I should probably wait plus having a blank canvas, a long list of things i want to do to the LS, & all the inspiration from here is very :q:q:q:q ing tempting plus with GM just releasing their gen V V8 "LT1" : http://www.insideline.com/chevrolet...rs-unveils-new-generation-small-block-v8.html seems like the next camaro and with the Coyote 5.0 having cutouts for direct injection: http://www.thetruthaboutcars.com/2010/08/editorial-do-not-buy-a-2011-mustang-5-0/ seems like even more of a reason to wait sooooooo what do you guys think?not trying to make this a poll just wanna know your opinion should i wait while taking on project: SOCOLD? or just go ahead & get the Camaro?

Just get the RS/SS or the GT Mustang. It'll be less expensive and less expensive payment (if you're financing) so you can have the money to put into your LS simultaneously

The Gen 5 LS engines are going to be freakin' amazing. Plus, you can get full tunability with EFI Live which will let you tune the computer like you were a GM engineer. Plus, the Gen 5 is an improvement on an existing spectactular platform. The Coyote engines are a clean sheet design so we're not going to know how it does or how it'll fail, if it'll fail. If you decide on the Mustang I'd wait until the second or third year the new engine is out so you can see how they do.

On the cars themselves, I hadn't heard that GM had a new Camaro version coming out. It looks like it could be a nice looking car, but a rumored Camaro SS with a V6? That would totally kill it. It doesn't look like there's much difference in the Mustang, other than they might be doing a 4 door Mustang in addition to a 2 door. Being as it'll be 11 inches longer, and my only problem with the current Mustang is I have to have the seat all the way back and tilted back to be able to drive one, I'll be looking at one of these sedans myself if they come out with them. I still prefer 2 doors to 4 doors, but at least it would be a nice looking rear wheel drive car that I can fit in. Provided, of course, that it's not a joke as was implied in the comments section of that thread. Hope not.

Since you're in money saving mode, I'd recommend that you stick with the LS for now, and wait until you see how the new Coyote engines do after they've been out a year or two. I'm glad you put this up and gave me something to look at, as I'm going to add the Mustang sedan to the list of possible LS replacements. I like how the Chargers look, but can't get past their being a Dodge and after driving that stupid Avenger for the last week while waiting on my LS to be repaired... The Charger isn't looking so good anymore.

That article was released on april 1st. You can basically be guaranteed it isnt real (the 4 door mustang that is)

Yeah, but even so it made for an all right looking car. Ford could bring the Falcon up from Australia and slap in the new 5.0, would make for a pretty good seller if they didn't charge through the nose for them like GM did with the GTO.
