can you hook amp/sub to factory nav. headunit?

Like the title says can it be a direct hook-up with of course a harness? My freind has an acura and he hooked his subs up but had to like splice the wire for one of his rear speakers and run it like that...anyone have experience with this?

YES YOU MUST SPICE in to the rear output!

my system setup is hooked up to factory headunit, no navi, but 6 disc in glove. you should definately be able to hook it up to the nav. iirc it will be hooked up through high input.

All you need is an RCA Converter, you run it off of any speaker(kinda dirty looking), pre-amp(if you have premium sound, find a wiring diagram and find the input to the amp in ur trunk) or straight from the Head Unit(requires running RCA cables through the cabin)
