i have a 2000 LS V8

Last i knew these cars didnt have a limited slip. I did some mods over the weekend (air intake, exhaust) and was at work showing some buddys and did a brake stand. i was in water but the the part that confused me was that both tires spun.

i thought that lincolns were only 1 tire fire cars and didnt have limited slips??

They don't. If you load the converter right, you can get both to spin. I was able to do that in my old 88 Formula that had a 2.73 open rear more than a few times.

What does "Loading the converter right" have to do with the open diff?
Just asking, its not something I was aware of...

That's how it was explained to me back then when I asked the same question regarding that car. Never looked into it further because I wound up trading the car.

Yeah even though its a one wheel wonder it does break them both loose alot. Likely both aren't spinning at the same rate.

Cool...
I did allot of power braking in my 60's cars, and never had an open diff turn both wheels....

i've noticed when i'm in a beach access where there is a little bit of sand all over, i can tap the gas and rotate the hell out of the rear. couple of my friends were surprised to see the LS break both tires loose.
