Can my co-worker flash my computer, "EEC5"?

My co-worker says that he has software to flash the computer in his '98 Ford Pickup (I didn't ask if he had a Ranger or an F-150). He asked if my computer was a "EEC5". I had no idea what he was saying. Does anyone know if our computer is "EEEC5" or not?

Actually, it's written as "EEC-V", and no, the PCM on the LS is not EEC-V.

I know from '96 on Ford used the "EEC V" ECU on it's vehicles, but when it comes to the LS I'm not sure. What software is he using to flash his computers?
