Well, can I? Tried researching but couldn't scrape up much. My OBD-II scan tool has a separate cable that lets it plug into the computer. Wondering if it's possible to download a tune and put it on the LS?
I know everyone here gets theirs from Torrie but still am not 100% sure how that works and the price of it. Just curious, thanks guys!

Look into SCT tuning. They are apparently the only option for you to do it yourself, and have a sort of pro tuning setup.

:shifty:

I amaze my self sometimes what I do for this car. It was a nice day for a drive though

Looks rather interesting, enables one to modify set points self vs. buying locked files from a Tuner.

This mean we can all be a Torrie Tuner?
Anyone with any experiences on this unit?

Worthwhile? Thoughts?

just curious, has anyone had any luck with a bluetooth obd2 scan tool with the car?

Pm sent josh! Great marketing ;) hhaha and BigRig, that's really cool but coming in around $500 is steep for a broke HS student, wondering if you need their Bluetooth obd2 port (I'm sure you do) or can get an off brand one. That would be so much fun to play with though!

Just read reveiws on the App Store, only 7 of them, all mixed. Either "works pretty well, gauges are nice" or "only worked sometimes, couldn't reset car back to stock and had to contact SCT several times...."

^ yup, steep in price ... was just looking like you were, seems pretty cool though. Bookmarked it, one never knows.

Yes. I bought the Torque android app and one of these adapters, works great.

I haven't had any CEL codes to check on my LS (Knock on ****ing wood) since I got it, but have used this setup on a few other cars to check CEL codes and it works great.

I picked up Josh's SCT-2 last night and while there is a difference in performance and I'm happy with it, it seems to only allow modifications to the WOT tables. Fuel up, timing back, shift point RPM and pressure +/- 20%. It almost makes me want to spend the $350 for the tuner software. I'd love to be able to tune the shift strategies for the transmission as that's my biggest gripe ont he car.

As one who has software to change shift strategies (albeit not on the LS), yes, you do. It's well worth it.

Actually after spending the day with it going to York and back, the tune did tighten up the shifting a lot. Totally different car.
