Can I make the dash lights brighter?

My dash lights seem to have a split personality. All my lights for the instruments, right hand message center, and buttons all have a much lower light output than the message center on left where the trip odo's are. A lot lower. I can see the odometer window during the day no problem. The message center, just if the light is just so ... very difficult to see. At night, the brightness from the odometer is distracting as it so much brighter than everything else.

The wheel doesn't adjust the odometer window, but adjusts the message center, all the buttons and the dashboard lights. Wow, Meatloaf just went through my mind ... what great memories ... oh, sorry about that, but they were GREAT memories!

Any assistance would be appreciated ... more brightness would be better to match the odometer window.

You have a fault within the cluster if the dimmer wheel doesn't change the brightness of the odometer when the headlights are on.
Unfortunately, it is normal for the message center display to slowly fade away over the years. I have kept the one on my 06 off most of the time. My wife leaves it on on her 04. The display on the 04 is now much dimmer than the one on the 06.

I did not know this. Looks like I'll be turning mine off now.

However, my gauge lights, button lights, and message center are all at the same light level and can be adjusted with the wheel. The odometer seems to be stuck at one level and does not adjust with the wheel. Still think it is a fault?

Yes, that's exactly why I say that is an internal fault with the dash cluster.
